Bloom’s location checks

Bloom matches your ZIP code, city or postal locality, and state or territory before preparing a local plan. If those details cannot be matched confidently, your plan stays on hold until the location is corrected.

Weather uses an approximate town or postal-locality reference point. It does not identify your street address, elevation, soil, or garden’s microclimate.

Location reference data: GeoNames, downloaded September 22, 2026, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Bloom filters and combines postal records with populated-place coordinates and time zones. Some valid postal aliases and locations are not in this reference; an unconfirmed match is never replaced with Ohio or a territory capital.
